In freundlicher Koexistenz mit der hauseigenen KI und dem Augmented Reality-Mitbewohner ist mensch in jeder Ecke des Tiny Houses in bester Gesellschaft. Die persönliche Komfortzone wird zu einer Begegnungsstätte, die empathisches Miteinander bietet und anregt, ohne anzustrengen! Eine Berührung der eigenen vier Wände und Intimität on demand. Social Capsule fragt, welche Leerstellen digitales Miteinander aufweist. Kann das Gefühl von sozialer Distanz – ob als Folge zunehmender Digitalisierung, pandemiebedingt oder durch großstädtliche Vereinzelung – artifiziell substituiert werden oder gibt es ein Begehren, das nur das menschliche Gegenüber ausfüllen kann? Das Monopol Berlin, eine ehemalige Destillerie in Reinickendorf, ist das erste Zuhause des Showrooms der Welcome Home Group. Ganz im Sinne eines mobilen Tiny Houses zieht die Social Capsule von der urbanen Peripherie im September in den Holzmarkt, zwischen Cafe und Weinladen an der Mediaspree.
Social Capsule is a narrative space by the artist Theresa Reiwer about the feel-good living of tomorrow. The Installations opens as a showroom and invites you into a smart Tiny House. In friendly coexistence with the in-house AI and the augmented reality roommate, people are in the best of company in every corner of the Tiny House. The personal comfort zone becomes a meeting place that offers empathetic togetherness and stimulates without straining! A touch of your own four walls and intimacy on demand.
Social Capsule asks what voids digital togetherness has. Can the feeling of social distance be artificially substituted - whether as a result of increasing digitalisation, a pandemic or urban isolation - or is there a desire that only the human counterpart can fill?
